New Principal Announcement

We are pleased to announce Charles Lim as the new Principal of Singapore (Cambodia) International Academy with effect from 2 Jan 2024.

With over 20 years of teaching and leadership roles in Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand, we are very excited to welcome Charles into his new role at SCIA.

Charles embarked on his teaching journey grounded in a solid foundation of technical expertise with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore).  He has further honed his focus on education, acquiring a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the same prestigious institution. He further acquired certification in School Management and Leadership from Harvard Business School.

After 10 years teaching and leadership role in Yishun Town Secondary School (Singapore), Charles moved to serve Bina Persada School, Indonesia from 2013-2016 as the School Principal.  Subsequently he joined Anglo Singapore International School (Thailand), which offers British and Singaporean curriculum. He exhibits dynamic leadership across different roles and responsibilities in different campuses within the same group of schools at Anglo Singapore International School.

Charles shares the same belief as SCIA that every child has the potential to excel and that the partnership between home and school is crucial in achieving the desired outcome of the child’s education. 

He will be working closely with Ismail Abdul Samat who will continue his position as Dean of Academic Affairs to create a culture of excellence in education and a lifelong passion for learning among teachers and students.
