SCIA is delighted to announce the opening of its new pre-school campus in BKK 1, scheduled for August 2024. This exciting expansion brings SCIA's unique educational experience to the heart of Phnom Penh, providing more families access to high-quality early childhood education.

SCIA (Pre-School) embodies a unique blend of Singaporean and British curricula, centred around exploration and learning through play. Guided by experienced facilitators, students discover their strengths, transforming them into positive, motivated learners.

Students will participate in a holistic education, and can further their interests and talents through the wide variety of activities we offer. At Pre-School, the aim is to build confidence and independence, preparing students for the transition to primary school and for the global age

Students enjoy nutritious meals at breakfast, lunch and snack times. Students learn to eat independently whilst proper eating habits and etiquette are reinforced.

Concert Performances

Every student is encouraged to perform on stage at least once in a year. This builds confidence and instils a sense of pride and achievement.

Personal, Social and Emotional Development

The syllabus helps students to develop a positive sense of themselves and others; to form positive relationships and instil respect for others; to develop social skills and learn how to manage their emotions; to understand appropriate behaviour in groups; and to have confidence in their abilities. This is central to all learning at SCIA Pre-School.

English Language

Language development allows students to experience a rich language environment, develop their confidence and skills in expressing themselves, and speak and listen in various situations. Students will learn to link sounds and letters, begin to read and write, and be introduced to a wide range of reading materials to encourage a love of literacy.

The syllabus allows students to develop and improve their skills in counting, understanding and using numbers, solving simple addition and subtraction problems, and describing shapes, space, time and measure. Students will become familiar with sequencing, sorting, estimation and patterns.

Expressive Arts

Expressive Arts enables students to explore and play with a wide range of media and materials, as well as providing opportunities and encouragement for sharing their thoughts, ideas and feelings through various activities in art, music, movement, dance, role-play and design.
