Job Description

To work with the School Leaders and Head of Department, Singapore (Cambodia) International Academy Co., Ltd. (SCIA), a Cambodia registered subsidiary of SIM International Academy Pte. Ltd., The Teacher, Art is reporting to Head of Department and is responsible for:

Job purpose

  • Delivering effective Art lessons in accordance with Cambridge and Singapore curriculum standards to students of different proficiencies.
  • Ensuring the development of 21st Century skills through the teaching of Art.
  • Adopting teaching and learning styles which stimulate student interest and active involvement in learning.
  • Designing and implementing effective assessments to monitor academic standards and ensuring that the students’ learning is effective and continuous.
  • Coaching students on Art-related projects, performances and competitions
  • Reviewing and designing instructional materials based on students’ needs and instructional objectives of the curriculum.
  • Developing curricular resources aligned to departmental framework to support students’ learning.
  • Caring for and ensuring the wellbeing of students.
  • Encouraging and motivating students in character development and values inculcation, in accordance to school values.
  • Undertaking relevant roles and responsibilities such as class mentorship and student club mentorship.
  • Performing other functions as necessary or assigned by School Leaders and Subject Head.
  • Assisting School Leaders and Subject Head in any projects or tasks in relation to School goals and objectives.
  • Participating in all School-wide events.

job requirement

      1.  

Academic Education / Training / Experience

  • Degree in Art or related discipline from an internationally recognised university.
  • Teaching certification from a recognised institution.
  • Strong knowledge in curriculum, pedagogy and assessments.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in education institutions.
  • Experience in teaching in an international setting, as well as familiarity with Cambridge curriculum and Singapore education system, is an advantage.
